Several types of sumi ink are used to create a black background with various line qualities and shades, and then silver leaves are used to express the main lines.

The composition is the opposite of the world of kana, in which characters are written in black ink on gold/ silver encrusted 料紙ryo-o-shi, and the reverse side of the world. The silver changes color depending on the light, and the color of sumi ink, which is not simply black but has a three-dimensional depth, has a profound beauty that cannot be achieved with other materials. I feel that the charm of this series is that it gives us a sense of forgetting time.
